Water, while being essential and pleasurable to us Floridians, can also quickly cause severe damage to your home or business. Just a small amount of water let to stand for a few hours can stain upholstery, warp wood furniture, floors, and cabinets, rust metal surfaces, and soften drywall. In addition, water can cause lingering hazards like growing mold and mildew or shorting out wiring and causing fires.

Because water is so prevalent in our area, ESR has ensured that our technicians understand the proper methods for drying up all water from a flooded area. We monitor and document the humidity levels in a wet property, clean carpet and upholstery, and restore furniture and electronics to pre-loss condition either onsite or at our facility. Our first and most important job is making sure you, our customer, is fully satisfied, comfortable, and reassured that your property is in the best possible hands and that you will have your home or business back to normal in no time.

Important things to remember after you discover water in your property:
  • Remove all loose cushions from furniture. Prop them up on a clean sheet so they will dry more evenly.
  • Remove paintings and other artwork to a safe, dry place.
  • Dry all clothing as soon as possible. Hang fur and leather goods to dry at room temperature.
  • Place aluminum foil, wood blocks, or saucers between furniture legs and wet carpeting. Open, but do not force, drawers and cabinet doors to dry out interiors.
  • Do not use regular vacuums to remove water.
  • Do not use TVs, radios, computers or other electrical appliances while standing on wet carpets or floors, particularly concrete or tile floors.
  • Do not switch on any ceiling fixture or fan if the ceiling is wet. Avoid rooms where ceilings sag due to water buildup.
